Te Kāika is a ‘one stop shop’ for family wellbeing, providing a range of affordable health care and free outreach social services. We are a kaupapa Māori organisation that supports a broad section of the community, including Māori, Pasifika and low-income communities.
We are very excited to announce that the Te Kāika Wellbeing Hub celebrated its official opening on May 2, 2024.
Located in the heart of the Caversham community in Dunedin, our Wellbeing Hub is a collaboration driven by the understanding and the knowledge that whānau experience optimal outcomes when healthcare is accessible from within the community.
Together, Te Kāika, Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern, and the Ministry of Social Developmentwe will provide a comprehensive range of services under one roof, guided by our combined service approach, He Korowai Manaaki – A cloak of care and support. This approach provides our patients and clients access to essential services in a safe community environment that encourages independence and rakatirataka.
